Scott Douglas’ Terse Bloviation

Special Ed

My profile of Ed Whitlock is now posted. It was an honor and pleasure to spend a few days with Ed and attempt to capture some of what makes him special.

Good article! Do people ever get upset with Ed for using the cemetery as a training facility? I see no problem with it but would think some overly uptight people consider it disrespectful or something. Or can he get away with it because he’s the famous Ed Whitlock, or because he’s 78 years old?

Not that I heard of. It probably helps that he’s older and that people use the graveyard as a place to walk.

I agree that the disrespectful thing in general is silly; I think about it when walking my dog through the one near me. But then, I’m of the scavenge-what-you-want-from-my-dead-body-I-won’t-know-the-difference school.
